Before we begin: this auction is open to genuine bidders only!  Please do not place a bid if you are not prepared to pay for this item and conclude the transaction amicably.  Time wasters are respectfully asked to step away from this auction listing, flee the scene and go and spoil someone else’s day! :o)

Here we have for auction a stunning example of the vintage Tatung Einstein home computer, straight from my own personal collection. This computer is in outstanding cosmetic condition and it is also in perfect working order; it powers up immediately, holds a steady picture when connected to its original colour monitor, the disk drive whirrs happily when the system is powered up and all the keys are fully responsive.

Also included are two original manuals, the original cables required to set the computer up and a set of four disks, one of which has a few classic games included.

All in all, this is a really lovely machine, an extremely rare and significant piece of computing history and a beautifully preserved example which is sure to make a fantastic addition to some other lucky vintage computing fanatic’s collection. :o)

This auction is open to UK bidders only on account of the overall weight of the system. Postage & packing within the UK will be £24.95, and the system will be shipped in two separate boxes for safety.

And now for the boring but still very important payment instructions, postage and packing details, small print, etc…

If bidding for a video game or a DVD, bidders must be certain that their machine is capable of playing games or DVDs from the region or territory specified above!

My preferred payment method is PayPal, although I would be happy to accept cheques from bidders within the UK only (please note that payment by cheque will result in a longer dispatch time, as I would need to receive the cheque, bank it and wait for it to clear before sending out any item).  Regardless of the payment method chosen, I would be grateful if the winning bidder could send their payment within three days of the end of the auction.

Bidders can rest assured this item will be very carefully packed and promptly delivered.

Finally, if you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to e-mail me via eBay and I will do my best to get back to you in double quick time.  Remember, the secret to any successful transaction is clear, polite and speedy communication!

Thanks for looking, and good luck!!  :o)

Just a quick additional note - the winning bidder is free to collect this item from either Northampton or Dover (I travel between both towns every week). I'm also in North London quite often (Elstree, Edgware, around once every other week) so collection / drop off might be possible there too. For those who would definitely need the system to be posted, please rest assured it will be packed exceedingly carefully to ensure that it arrives safe and sound, but for sheer convenience it's always preferable to be able to hand over a rare, fragile and valuable item such as this in person! :o)
